    Communication between 2 Test Environments

    Hello,

    I am using Surgient VQMS 5.3 Sp1.

I am testing the communication between 2 Test Environments. I have an app config consisting of one server config. I deployed the app config twice; each test environment is in its own VLAN. The 2 Pool VMs have NATed IP Address which are in the same subnet (i.e. the “default” network has only 1 TCP/IP subnet).

From any Pool VM, I cannot ping the NATed IP Address of the other.

I set up a file share in one Pool VM, but I cannot access this share from the other Pool VM.

I have an IIS web server running on one Pool VM, but I cannot access this site  from the other Pool VM.

The VMs are Win 2003 Sp1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Update:

I was able to access the file share and a Web Server within a Test Environment from a client that is outside any Test Environment.

Conversely, I was also able to access a file share and a Web Server that are not inside any Test Environment from a client that is within a Test Environment.

I am still having the original problem, i.e. a client inside one Surgient Test Environment not being able to access a server within another Surgient Environment.

    I have found more information:

Two deployed app configs would need to be using different NAIL servers, so in simple mode they would need to be on different hosts, in advanced mode they would need to be assigned to different NAIL servers.
