    Surgient supports ESX Server 3.5 in 5.4.  ESX Server 3.5 Update 1 is a patch roll-up version of ESX Server 3.5.  ESX Server 3.5 Update 1 is supported whether you start with ESX Server 3.5 GA and patch to Update 1 level or start with Update 1.
