Surgient 5.4 agent and VirtualCenter 2.5 agent running concurrently of ESX 3.5?

On Page 9 of the Surgient Installation Guide version 5.4, it is stated that one of the supported virtualization platforms for the VM Host Server is VMware ESX 3.5 (Standard or Enterprise version)

A ESX Server enterprise edition is an ESX Server that is being managed by a VirtualCenter Server.

Does this mean that (unlike Surgient 5.3 and ESX 3.0.1), an ESX 3.5 Server can be a Surgient 5.4 VM Host Server and be managed by a VirtualCenter 2.5 Server simultaneously?

Page 7 of the 5.4 Surgient Installation Guide states under General Considerations:

Surgient is not compatible with VMware’s Virtual Center and Lab Manager products. Hosts that are managed by Surgient cannot also be managed by VMware products.

To clarify, in our System Requirements say we require ESX Server 3.0 or 3.5 not Virtual Infrastructure.  Since ESX Server cannot be purchased without VI, the licenses that are compatible with our product are Standard and Enterprise licenses and not Foundation licenses (formerly Starter edition).  VI licenses control how much of the VI SDK is available for partner products to manage ESX Server hosts.  Exploiting the VI SDK does not guarantee compatibility with any of VI's proprietary features.

As an example, VMware's own Lab Manager is not compatible with all of the features of VI, and some of VMware's other partners have limitations with everything that VI offers.
